Internet

With an Internet update, your workstation sets up a direct connection to the Internet via an existing Internet access, searches for updates on the AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic web server and downloads them and installs them on your workstation.

Download

Here you enter the address (URL) of the Internet servers from which the updates are to be downloaded.

Default

The button resets the default address.

Internet connection

Use existing connection (network)

This setting is displayed if your connection to the Internet is set up via a network.

Use the following connection:

This setting is displayed if you define your connection to the Internet individually.

• User name: Enter the user name of the Internet account you have chosen.

• Password: Enter the password of this Internet account.
  For security, the actual characters you type in this space are replaced by asterisks (*).

Note
If you have forgotten an existing account name or password, contact your Internet Service Provider.

Terminate a dial-up connection that was set up for the Internet update.

If you have enabled this function, the dial-up connection set up for the Internet update is automatically interrupted when the download is complete.
